Job Title: Manufacturing Project Manager (Supply Chain & Operations)
Location: El Paso, TX (Preferred) or Mt. Juliet, TN
Duration: Initial 3-Month Contract (Strong Potential for Extension)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (50–75% Onsite)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to lead strategic supply chain, supplier transition, and manufacturing improvement initiatives across multiple production facilities throughout North America and Mexico. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing operations, industrial engineering, and project management within a production environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects involving supplier changes, capacity expansion, tooling implementation, process improvements, and manufacturing optimization across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead outsourcing, supplier transition, and capacity optimization projects across manufacturing facilities.
- Manage projects involving:
- Part qualification and transfers
- Capacity expansion initiatives
- New tooling implementation
- Manufacturing process improvements
- Production line and material changes
- Drive initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, productivity, and service levels.
- Coordinate activities across multiple plants in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, engineering teams, operations leaders, and suppliers.
- Conduct supplier and manufacturing site visits as required.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain project documentation and status updates within project management platforms.
- Provide weekly project status reports, leadership updates, and milestone reviews.
- Track project progress at the part-number and plant level.
- Support stage-gate reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Project Management experience.
- Experience leading projects across multiple manufacturing plants or production sites.
- Strong background in supply chain, operations, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering.
