Job Overview
Flexibility with Hours Needed for 3rd Shift Position 12:30am-9am
The Supply Chain Materials Coordinator serves as a resource to the production team, ensuring that all safety, quality, and environmental regulations are followed. This position is critical to the success of the production process, as it ensures that everything runs smoothly and on time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- This position necessitates daily inventory counts, resolving any discrepancies found, assisting in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end inventory counts, and taking responsibility for all raw materials required for scheduled production
- Liaises with the Corporate Scheduler to validate the availability of the essential raw materials for the production schedule and conveys any modifications in the timeline to the appropriate members of the plant staff
- Work closely with Transportation to ensure that the delivery of raw materials is carefully coordinated with the production schedule, and maintain timely and regular communication with suppliers to verify their availability and to monitor deliveries
- This individual is in charge of ensuring that safety, quality, and environmental standards are being met by the production team and acts as a liason between the team and management
- Verifies information submitted to production departments to ensure conformity with guidelines, graphics, component changes, and groundbreaking items
- Undertakes qualification procedures to certify new raw materials and works closely with in-house auditors, vendors, and technicians to ensure that the product and process quality and safety match the ISO standards
A strong foundation of knowledge and skills, combined with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively, are key ingredients for success in any field
- A routine consisting of lifting 25 pounds repeatedly each day
- Regularly ascending staircases throughout the day
- Occupying a vertical position for up to 4 hours every day by means of walking and standing
- The talent to drive or train oneself on the operations of a forklift and be granted a forklift accreditation as a result
- Splitting work time evenly between the office and plant may entail prolonged sitting periods, which can cause health concerns
- The environment surrounding the factory is characterized by fluctuating temperatures
- The standard 9-hour shift is between 3:00 am and 12:30 pm
- One weekend day per month is an unavoidable requirement for the entirety of the year
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and Windows is a common requirement in many job descriptions
