Logistics Specialist

This position is based at our Ready Roast location in Madera, CA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Schedule and coordinate shipping appointments using the ERP system calendar for inter-department use. Coordinate all documents and process requirements to support successful shipments internationally. Review, manage customer DC inventories that meet customer safety stocks and contractual requirements.

Manage KPI's regarding FG Total Inventory Days, OTIF, Transportation Cost, customer complaints based on shipping quality deliveries and others as directed. Work with Scheduling Planner when it comes to order completion and QA for timeline on micro clearing. Maintain primary Freight Company relationships ensuring customer freight services (internal & external) Assist with freight claims & transportation issues.

• Quarterly quote Freight Lanes as directed to lower freight cost.
• Coordinate intercompany transfers of all goods, such as WIP product shipping to another plant from RR.
• Analyze and recommend processes optimizing inventory levels and shipments for key accounts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

• Associate degree preferred (equivalent work experience will be considered for well qualified candidates).
• Administrative Experience with Excellent Computer Skills (MS Office a Must)
• Exceptional customer service skills, phone skills and professional writing ability
• International shipping & logistics experience is ideal. Specifically managing the process of exporting shipments from the US internationaly ensuring a smooth process without custom delays.
• Self-starter with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines within specified time constraints.
• Attention to detail, organized and thorough desire for continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred, but not required.
