Responsibilities
- Stress the need to prioritize road safety while driving tractor-trailers.
- Check the vehicle thoroughly before and after each trip to maintain its road fitness.
- Generate well-planned routes to improve efficiency and guarantee on-time deliveries.
- Comply with the prescribed regulations for the handling and packaging of shipments to ensure their safe transit.
- Effective communication with dispatchers and clients throughout deliveries is crucial for successful outcomes.
- Ensure meticulous documentation of both work hours and routine vehicle care.
- Implement the safety procedures prescribed by the Department of Transportation (DOT) to maintain the security of workers and cargo.
- Swiftly communicate any vehicle issues, events, or breaches to maintain regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Having a legitimate Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) is essential.
- Clean driving record.
- Observing the guidelines established by the Department of Transportation for medical assessments and substance checks.
- Proficient in time management and task coordination.
- Knowledgeable in the competent and careful transport of substantial and cumbersome loads.
- Exhibits outstanding skills in customer relationship management and building lasting client rapport.
- Firm commitment to safety and regulatory conformity, with a priority on the prompt reporting of incidents.

- A 12-week training curriculum has been devised for novice commercial drivers to offer a structured learning approach. The program is tailored to accelerate the learning process for participants with diverse experience levels, ranging from 3 months to over 5 years
Preferred Experience
- Expertise in maneuvering different trailer types, like dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers.
- Proficiency in operating with doubles or triples, intermodal transit options, and the transport of automotive vehicles.
- Knowledgeable in the handling of domestic possessions and specialized items.
