Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated U.S. Customs Compliance Manager / Supervisor (CTPAT Lead) to oversee brokerage compliance operations and manage our CTPAT program. This role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining supply chain security standards, and supporting our continued growth in cross-border logistics.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong customs compliance expertise who is ready to lead a team and own both compliance and security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Customs Compliance & Brokerage Oversight

• Review and approve customs entries for accuracy and compliance with CBP regulations
• Ensure proper HTS classification, valuation, and admissibility
• Monitor compliance with Partner Government Agencies (FDA, EPA, USDA, etc.)
• Serve as escalation point for complex entries and regulatory issues

CTPAT Program Leadership

• Act as the company’s CTPAT Program Administrator
• Maintain and enhance CTPAT certification and audit readiness
• Conduct annual risk assessments and supply chain security reviews
• Develop and implement security procedures aligned with CTPAT criteria
• Lead CBP validations, audits, and revalidations
• Train internal teams and partners on CTPAT requirements

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor entry writers and compliance staff
• Manage workload, productivity, and performance metrics
• Provide ongoing training and regulatory updates

Audit & Risk Management

• Conduct internal audits and post-entry reviews
• Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions
• Respond to CBP inquiries (CF-28, CF-29) and audits

Operational Collaboration

• Work closely with warehouse, transportation, and cross-border teams
• Support FTZ and bonded warehouse compliance (if applicable)
• Provide advisory support to clients on trade compliance and security

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in U.S. customs brokerage or trade compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience required
• Direct experience managing or supporting a CTPAT program required
• Strong knowledge of HTS classification, CBP regulations (19 CFR), and ACE

Preferred

• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker (LCB)
• Experience in FTZ operations and cross-border logistics
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
