Transportation Logistics Branch Manager

Position Overview

As the Branch Manager for Logistics and Transportation, you will oversee daily branch operations, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to DOT guidelines and company policies. You will lead a team of supervisors and staff while managing profitability and compliance. Compensation: Salary range - $60K to $70K DOE (may go a little higher DOE) plus 10% bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all branch employees including supervisors, driver/messengers, and other staff.
• Recruit and train new employees.
• Reward, coach, and counsel employees.
• Ensure employee qualifications in accordance with DOT guidelines and state/county requirements.
• Manage daily vehicle assignments, ensuring vehicle safety and fitness through coordination with vehicle services or local maintenance vendors.
• Provide ongoing training and development for team members.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of management experience in transportation or a related field.
• Knowledge/experience in supply chain logistics, routing, and driver supervision.
• A valid state driver's license and the ability to obtain a commercial license.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record per company standards.
• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) and ability to work with spreadsheets.
