Human Resources Specialist

We are a growing California-based trailer manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented HR Specialist to support our Human Resources department. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of California labor laws and compliance requirements, who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Full time position 8am to 5pm

Pay: $70,000 to 70,304 per year

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee records management
• Ensure compliance with California labor laws, wage & hour regulations, and company policies
• Support payroll processes, timekeeping, and attendance tracking
• Assist with workers’ compensation claims, safety documentation, and OSHA compliance
• Help coordinate employee benefits, leave of absence (FMLA/CFRA), and personnel files
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures
• Assist with audits, reporting, and maintaining compliance documentation
• Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interview scheduling, and new hire paperwork

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in an HR or administrative role (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance
• Familiarity with wage & hour laws, meal/rest breaks, and employee classifications
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting hourly production workforces
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
