The Human Resource Specialist provides support to the delivery of human resource services with specific responsibility for providing information to employees regarding policies and regulations; addressing a variety of issues and/or providing general support; maintaining records, files and databases of personnel actions, evaluations, and longevity; and assisting in ensuring that personnel functions conform to all applicable regulatory requirements.

Two years experience in a Human Resource Department or in an area with a great deal of public contact.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential

Job Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Supports HR operations by identifying and recommending process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Ensures accurate processing and maintenance of employee records, job changes, and HRIS data.
• Monitors compliance for licensure, certifications, competencies, and required employment documentation (including I-9s).
• Processes certification reimbursements and other employee-related transactions per policy.
• Supports onboarding and lifecycle processes, including new hire, transfer, rehire, and return-to-work workflows.
• Collaborates with HR, Recruitment, Payroll, and Employee Health to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
• Provides general HR administrative support and cross-coverage, including front desk support and employee events.

Additional

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$22.48 -$33.72
