Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Sr. Human Resources Coordinator to support a large, reputable client operating within a regulated public utility environment. This role is critical to executing onboarding and Talent Acquisition with precision, consistency, and full compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
The organization is a large-scale operation with multiple business locations and a high hiring volume, requiring strong coordination among HR systems, hiring managers, and candidates. The Sr. HR Coordinator will be responsible for managing onboarding workflows, maintaining accurate HRIS and ATS records, and ensuring all pre-employment and compliance requirements are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
- Serve as primary coordinator for onboarding activities across multiple locations, ensuring consistent and compliant new hire processing.
- Coordinate pre-employment screening, including background checks, drug testing, MVR reviews, and credential verification.
- Maintain and update candidate and employee records within HRIS and ATS platforms to ensure data accuracy and tracking integrity.
- Schedule interviews, onboarding sessions, and orientation activities while managing related logistics and communications.
- Maintain Form I-9 documentation and support employment eligibility verification in accordance with federal requirements.
- Track onboarding progress and outstanding requirements to ensure timely completion of all pre-hire tasks.
- Support Talent Acquisition activities, including job postings, candidate communications, and interview coordination.
- Prepare onboarding documentation, correspondence, and employee files in alignment with retention and compliance standards.
- Assist with audit preparation and respond to compliance-related documentation requests as needed.
- Support continuous improvement of onboarding workflows and HR system processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 4+ years of HR experience in onboarding coordination, HR administration, or Talent Acquisition support required.
- Experience working within a regulated, public sector, utility, or safety-sensitive environment preferred.
- Proficiency in HRIS and ATS platforms with strong data entry and system navigation skills.
- Working knowledge of I-9 compliance, EEO, and federal/state employment regulations.
- Experience managing high-volume onboarding processes across multiple locations or business units.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience maintaining employee records in accordance with audit and compliance standards.
- Ability to coordinate multiple deadlines while ensuring accuracy in HR documentation and reporting.
