Location: Stockton, CA
(Must be oppen to all locations: Lodi, Tracy, and Modesto)
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm
Job Description
We are seeking a Recruiter whose primary goal is to deliver outstanding customer service—both internally and externally—while supporting and upholding the customer service standards of Hedy Holmes Staffing Services. This role is responsible for recruiting, coordinating, and retaining high-quality employees through effective sourcing and retention strategies.
Recruiters MUST BE FLEXIBLE to work at other offices (Lodi, Tracy, Modesto)
Responsibilities
- Fulfill open job orders with urgency and accuracy.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, candidates, and internal team members.
- Answer and transfer multi-line phone calls professionally and promptly.
- Maintain regular follow-up with clients and employees to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues.
- Approach all assignments—filled or unfilled—with a sense of urgency and ownership.
- Collaborate with the HHSS team; strong communication and teamwork are essential.
- Assist team members and provide support as needed.
- Report any changes in customer service standards to your supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Write clear and detailed job orders in line with the HHSS Training Manual.
- Conduct candidate interviews following HHSS procedures.
- Perform accurate data entry and manage application files per company protocols.
- Verify candidate references, run background checks, conduct E-Verify ID validations, and administer drug tests as needed.
- Partner with hiring managers to clarify job requirements, expectations, and candidate availability.
- Make high-quality candidate matches aligned with HHSS procedures.
- Conduct arrival calls for all assignments to ensure placement success.
- Oversee hiring, termination, and retention of temporary employees per company policies.
- Conduct client site visits, check-ins, and evaluations in person or via phone as needed.
- Utilize job boards and social media platforms (e.g., ZipRecruiter, CalJOBS, LinkedIn, HHSS website) to source and post jobs.
- Ensure all job postings are accurate and current.
- Work closely with management on employee recruiting, retention, and maintenance strategies.
- Resolve and manage basic payroll-related issues.
- Collect and follow up on timecards for payroll processing.
- Report any behavior, by employees, clients, or temporary staff, that violates HHSS policies, standards, or values.
- Meet all daily KPI requirements.
- Submit a completed weekly activity log to your branch manager every Friday by end of day.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1 – 2 years of clerical duties and/or customer service experience
- Staffing experience helpful
- Valid CA Driver’s License (Class C) and current auto insurance. The position may/will require travel to different offices, participate in client walkthroughs, and attend off-site company events.

- Possible lifting up to 30 lbs. (copy paper)
