Under the supervision of the Disability Management Services Manager, the Disability Management Analyst supports the implementation of services and programs for the campus Disability Management Services office and other Risk Services programs.
The Analyst coordinates disability management cases, supports program development, and collaborates with vendors and internal departments to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Appointment Information

- Travel: Never or rarely Job Duties 40% - Disability Management Case Coordination and Program Services Support
- Coordinate services and equipment for assigned disability management cases.
- Provide remediation services to ensure accessibility of documents.
- Analyze and compile disability management data, identify missing information, and input essential data within reporting deadlines; maintain confidential case files.
- Research vendors and recommend specialized services.
- Assist with implementing disability management risk-control programs to reduce compliance risks and litigation.
- Coordinate annual renewal of vendor Statements of Work and liaise with Finance for new vendors and purchase orders.
- Engage vendors for various accessibility services.
- Assist with analyzing complex data and metrics reports.
- Assemble and deliver furniture and equipment to multiple campus locations.
- Provide related support as requested by the Disability Management Services Manager and Senior Disability Analyst. 40% - Disability Management Program Development
- Assist in developing program efficiencies.
- Support development of programming to advance Disability Management services goals; liaise with Workers' Compensation.
- Conduct assessments to identify high-risk areas and activities.
- Design ongoing training programs to educate staff and faculty on best practices; coordinate with Workers' Compensation.
- Work closely with high-risk departments to tailor initiatives that address specific needs.
- Review effectiveness of implemented measures and training programs, using data-driven approaches for adjustments.
- Provide detailed progress reports demonstrating the impact of initiatives.
- Develop and analyze customer satisfaction surveys for programs and training; provide quarterly recommendations. 20% - Risk Services Program Coordination and Support
- Provide risk analysis support to Risk Services programs, including Workers' Compensation, Risk Control, and Driver Safety.
- Conduct assessments to identify high-risk areas and activities.
- Support Risk Services initiatives.
- Assist with implementing risk-control programs to reduce compliance risks and litigation. Required Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of non-occupational disability management practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of occupational disability management.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical reports and their implications for reasonable accommodation and placement.
- Proven organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent writing skills; produce clear, well-documented correspondence, procedures, and publications.
- Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and ability to learn/use a case-management information system.
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information and uphold high ethical standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously and deliver quality results within deadlines.
- Proven use of critical thinking and analytical skills to solve problems.
- Demonstrated political acumen and ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel.
- Ability to work successfully as an effective team member.
- Proven ability to provide complex data analysis, including year-over-year comparison reports. Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Professional in Disability Management (CPDM) designation.
- California Department of Insurance License (property and liability).
- Completion of Insurance Educational Association course WCCA?10 or equivalent Workers' Compensation course.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish.
- Demonstrated skill in developing course materials for diverse populations.
- Knowledge of general risk management policies and procedures.
- General understanding of insurance, liability, and exposures.
- Previous risk-related higher education experience. Special Conditions of Employment
