Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for our business. This role will manage day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, cash flow monitoring, and compliance wile providing leadership and insight to support business decision-making.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in a small-business environment, and capable of both strategic financial oversight, and day-to-day accounting execution.

Key Responsibilities

-Financial Management and Reporting

-Accounting Operations

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Manage revenue recognition and sales reporting
• Maintain inventory accounting
• Ensure proper expense classification and cost tracking

-Payroll & Compliance

• Oversee Payroll processing and payroll tax filings
• Coordinate with outside CPA or tax advisor on year-end tax preparation
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
• Manage sales tax filings and regulatory reporting

-Internal Controls & Process Improvement

• Establish and maintain internal accounting controls
• Improve accounting processes and workflows
• Implement and maintain accounting systems and financial software
• Assist with audit preparation or lender reporting

-Leadership & Business Support

• Partner with ownership and management on financial planning and strategy
• Provide insights on profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency
• Support business growth initiatives and financial forecasting

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
