Rockford University is seeking a creative, organized, and customer-focused Marketing & Administrative Assistant to support the College of Arts & Humanities. This position serves as the primary coordinator for marketing, communications, box office operations, and administrative support while promoting theatre productions, gallery exhibits, lectures, and other college-sponsored events.
Key responsibilities include
- Coordinating marketing campaigns, social media, and promotional materials for college events and programs.
- Managing box office operations, ticket sales, patron services, and audience records.
- Supervising student employees and supporting event operations.
- Providing administrative support to the Dean, faculty, and staff.
- Assisting with gallery administration, theatrical licensing, and other college initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Arts Administration, or a related field.
- Two to four years of experience in marketing, communications, event management, customer service, office administration, or a related area.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience managing social media and creating promotional content.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with diverse constituencies.
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education, arts administration, performing arts, museums, galleries, or event venues.
- Experience with ticketing systems, box office operations, event planning, or supervising student employees.
