Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Dispatcher role based in Chico, CA. The Dispatcher coordinates daily schedules for HVAC technicians, assigns service calls, and adjusts routes in real time to ensure timely response to customer needs. This role involves answering inbound calls, gathering key service details, and entering accurate information into the scheduling and dispatch system.

The Dispatcher communicates regularly with field technicians to provide updates, relay job information, and support efficient completion of work orders. Duties also include monitoring job status, prioritizing urgent or emergency calls, and keeping customers informed about appointment windows or changes.

The role requires close collaboration with office staff and management to maintain smooth operations, high customer satisfaction, and clear documentation of all service activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatching, scheduling, or coordinating field service operations, preferably in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related trades.
• Strong customer service skills, including professional phone etiquette, active listening, and the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Proficiency with computer-based scheduling or dispatch software, basic data entry, and familiarity with email and office productivity tools.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple calls, tasks, and priorities simultaneously.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to relay accurate information between customers, technicians, and office staff.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Chico, CA, with reliable attendance and a consistent, punctual work record.
• Team-oriented mindset, willingness to assist colleagues, and flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and business needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in an HVAC or service-based environment is preferred but not mandatory.
