Quality Operations Manager

Our exclusive client is adding a new position. Reporting to the Director of Quality, this role owns the operations side of Quality; builds, coordinates and develops a high performing team of quality supervisors and line inspectors; translating quality systems, customer requirements, and audit standards into consistent, repeatable practices on every shirt.

This is a hands-on front line management position responsible for standardizing inspection, resolving production issues in real time, and driving measurable improvement. Looking for a professional that is a people-person and metrics-driven as well. Key areas of responsibility are:

• Team Leadership and development
• Shop Floor Quality execution- ensure consistent execution of inspection, test, and quality-control activities throughout the production process from incoming materials to final product.
• Quality Systems Implementation-Implement and maintain quality management systema requirements AS9100 and ISO 9001 at the operational level, ensuring floor practices align with documented procedures and customer requirements. Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventative action. Support audit readiness for internal customer reviews.
• Continuous Improvement and Metrics-Track key quality metrics and use data to prioritize improvement. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methods.
• Standardize Practices and Processes

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturimg/production environment with at least 3+ years experience in managing teams.
• Demonstrated success at building, coaching, and developing front-line supervisors and inspectors
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Strong knowledge of quality inspection methods, non-conforming-material handling, root-cause analysis and corrective action
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across shifts and functions
• Bachelors degee in Engineer, Quaily, Production Operations, or related field
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) or CQE?CQM certifications are ++'s
• Proficiency with quality and ERP?QMS software and data-analysis tools
