FP&A Analysts are integral to a company’s finance function, focusing on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Working closely with executives, including CFOs and department heads, to provide actionable insights that guide strategic and operational decisions.
The role combines analytical skills, financial modelling, and business acumen to evaluate past performance, predict future trends, and identify opportunities for growth or cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Build and consolidate annual budgets for departments and the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Forecasting and Modeling: Develop financial models to project revenue, expenses, and cash flow, supporting scenario analysis and decision-making
- Variance Analysis: Compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identify discrepancies, and provide explanations for management
- Management Reporting: Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key financial metrics and trends
- Strategic Support: Evaluate new projects, investments, and financing options, offering recommendations to optimize financial outcomes
- Collaboration: Liaise with department heads and business partners to gather data, challenge assumptions, and ensure accurate financial insights
- Special Projects: Participate in ad hoc analyses, such as mergers, acquisitions, or operational efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required (Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred)
- 0-5 years relevant experience
