Public Relations Specialist – Brand Personality & Event Organizer

Location: In-Person in Bridgeview, IL (Chicago, IL & Surrounding Suburbs)

Schedule: Full-Time (Requires weekend availability for events)

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, highly charismatic Public Relations Specialist to be the face and voice of our brand. This is a unique, hybrid, in-person role that blends on-camera social media presence, on-the-ground event organization, and strategic digital PR.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Brand Personality

• Act as the primary on-camera personality for our TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other video-first social channels.
• Conceptualize, script, film, and edit engaging, trend-forward content that drives brand awareness and community engagement.
• Engage actively with our online community, translating digital interactions into real-world event attendance.

Event Organization & On-Site Execution

• Plan, coordinate, and host promotional events, community gatherings, and activations across Chicago and its surrounding suburbs.
• Serve as the lead brand ambassador and primary point of contact during all weekend events.
• Manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue scouting, vendor coordination, and on-site setup/teardown.

Digital Public Relations

• Develop and execute digital PR campaigns to secure online media coverage, digital mentions, and backlinks.
• Identify, pitch, and build lasting relationships with local Chicago influencers, content creators, and digital media outlets.
• Draft compelling digital press releases, media kits, and pitches to secure features in relevant online publications and local blogs.
• Monitor brand reputation across the web and track the performance metrics of PR and social media initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience growing and managing a brand's presence on TikTok (please be prepared to share a portfolio, handles, or previous work).
• Demonstrated experience in event planning, coordination, and on-site management.
• Strong understanding of digital PR, including influencer outreach, media pitching, and digital reputation management.
• Exceptional communication skills with a comfortable, outgoing, and professional on-camera presence.
• Reliable transportation for regular travel to various in-person event locations throughout Chicago and the suburbs.
• Mandatory weekend availability to manage, host, and execute local events.
