The Senior Communications Manager is a strategic thinker and agile communicator, energized by the unexpected and passion to address critical conservation goals.
The Senior Communications Manager will be vital in raising awareness of and building a constituency for priorities across Audubon’s Delta region (Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana). The Senior Communications Manager will be lead communications efforts, driving strategy, generating ideas, and proposing new ways to reach new and existing audiences.
This position will lead the development and implementation of an integrated communications strategy, working with staff and partners in the region and across the organization. The Senior Communications Manager will engage in community, conservation, and policy communications and work with various teams across the organization.
This is one of the most dynamic roles in the region, helping develop and shape conversations.
The Senior Manager coaches program staff to develop and deliver quality materials and generate social and digital media to support strategies to publicize community, policy and conservation goals. They will report to the Vice President, Delta.
This position is classified as hybrid preferred, but we will also consider remote candidates within the Delta region, in accordance with Audubon’s “Where We Work” Policy. Hybrid employees are expected to work in an Audubon office every Monday and Tuesday and an additional two days each month of the employee’s choosing.
Hybrid candidates should be located within commuting distance of one of Audubon’s offices, which includes New Orleans.
