What You'll Do
- Algorithm-Aware Creative & Distribution
- Act as a social algorithm expert, leveraging platform mechanics from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and retail media to enhance creative strategy.
- Engineer content optimized for distribution and performance signals.
- Develop effective content frameworks (hooks, formats, storytelling structures) that maximize algorithmic reach.
- Experiment with creative variations to identify what resonates with algorithms.
- Refine content continuously based on real-time performance insights.
- Content Creation & Production
- Conceptualize, create, and publish engaging content tailored for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
- Transform product benefits and brand messaging into compelling, scroll-stopping narratives.
- Manage the entire process from idea development to production, publishing, and iteration.
- Performance Optimization & Testing
- Analyze content performance through platform analytics and third-party tools.
- Identify performance drivers to optimize for reach, engagement, and conversions.
- Conduct structured tests on hooks, formats, and messaging.
- Collaborate with media teams for alignment on audience targeting and to mitigate creative fatigue.
- Iterate quickly on successful content with cutdowns, edits, and new formats.
- Trend Mining & Cultural Relevance
- Stay ahead of platform trends, formats, and cultural moments.
- Spot opportunities to engage brands in timely conversations before they peak.
- Adapt trends authentically to fit the platform while remaining true to the brand.
- Ensure brand safety while balancing the need for speed and relevance.
- Platform Intelligence & Strategy
- Keep abreast of changes in algorithms, content formats, and new features.
- Translate changes into actionable creative direction for the team.
- Optimize content for both organic reach and paid initiatives.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of social media algorithms, audience behavior, and platform-native formats.
- Proven ability to:
- Analyze performance data effectively
- Translate insights into actionable creative improvements
- Strong storytelling and communication skills.
- Experience in team management.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with major platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Meta) or within an in-house creative agency.
- Familiarity with video editing and content production tools.
- Knowledge of SEO and discoverability mechanics.
- Experience in integrating organic and paid social strategies.
