Employment Law Paralegal Supporting Individual Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Litigation
Position Overview
We are excited to invite applications for the role of Employment Law Paralegal.
This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to significant state and federal employment litigation in California Courts, specifically regarding the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and Title VII. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting attorneys throughout the litigation process, managing a diverse caseload, and exhibiting both precision and professionalism in their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting high-quality correspondence, pleadings, and motions suited for state and federal courts.
- Utilizing e-filing systems for efficient submission of documents, including those filed under seal.
- Preparing thorough discovery materials, including requests and responses, managing document productions, and assisting with deposition preparations.
- Organizing and upholding meticulous case files.
- Managing case calendars to ensure all deadlines are met promptly.
- Coordinating meetings, phone calls, webinars, and travel arrangements.
- Arranging for court reporters for depositions and hearings.
- Maintaining records of billable hours, tracking expenses, and preparing detailed budget reports.
- Assisting in trial preparation, including organization of exhibits, witness coordination, and preparation of trial binders.
- Engaging with court personnel, experts, clients, opposing counsel, and co-counsel professionally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 3 years of paralegal experience in employment litigation, with a strong understanding of California employment law (FEHA).
- Over 2 years of experience with both state and federal e-filing systems.

- Proficiency in handling multiple cases while meeting strict deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Office365, Microsoft Teams, Clio, Lexis, Lexis CourtLink, Logikcull (eDiscovery), and Adobe Acrobat DC.
- Competence in tracking billable hours consistently.
