Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal (Real Estate Focus)

Overview

Kane Kessler is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support attorneys in our Real Estate/Litigation practice. This role provides exposure to all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Draft and organize pleadings, discovery, and legal documents
• Manage case files and document organization
• Assist with trial preparation, exhibits, and binders
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, courts, and third parties
• Handle e-filing (including PACER/CM/ECF)
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries
• Track assignments and assist with billing/time entry

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1+ year of litigation experience preferred
• Legal assistant, paralegal, or related experience preferred
• Strong writing, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with e-filing systems (PACER/CM/ECF) preferred
• Real estate litigation experience a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $60,000 – $85,000 (DOE)
