Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant who is fluent in Spanish and passionate about making a difference. The ideal candidate will have a prior experience in a legal office setting. This role involves supporting attorneys and office management staff across multiple practice areas and requires adaptability, discretion, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and Case Managers with case preparation and document management
• Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish
• Draft and translate legal documents and correspondence
• Support immigration-related, criminal law-related and family law-related filings
• Manage scheduling, deadlines, and administrative tasks
• Conduct basic legal research and data entry
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (not required)
• Associate's degree (not required) is a plus
• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
• Prior legal office reception experience or in immigration and criminal defense
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to assist across criminal, family, and immigration law matters
