Medical Receptionist

This is a temp to hire role located in person in Park Ridge, IL. Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key member of the patient care team by supporting providers in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Contribute to the efficient operation of a fast-paced medical practice.
• Protect patient confidentiality by accurately maintaining and safeguarding medical records.
• Adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures to support and protect the practice.
• Respond to verbal and electronic requests for information and assistance using established policies, reference tools, and provider guidance.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist appropriately during crisis situations.
• Follow and uphold all organizational policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of one year of experience working in a medical office and/or mental health setting preferred.
• Experience supporting patients experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns preferred.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with patients in a mental health environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems and standard office software.
