The Medical Secretary performs secretarial and administrative duties utilizing knowledge of medical terminology and hospital, clinic, or laboratory procedures. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, billing patients, compiling and maintaining medical charts, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
The role requires strong communication skills, proper English usage, attention to detail, and the ability to support medical office operations through accurate recordkeeping and administrative coordination. Depending on assignment needs, the position may also require the ability to take and transcribe complex medical dictation.
Schedule patient appointments

Compile and record medical charts
Prepare reports and correspondence
Maintain medical records and documentation
