In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our unit, while also providing exceptional care and service to our patients and their families. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records by organizing, filing, and updating medical charts and files.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate information.
Monitor and order necessary office and medical supplies to ensure the unit is adequately stocked.
Assist with scheduling appointments and procedures for patients under the direction of healthcare providers.
Keep track of patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, and ensure proper documentation is completed.
Handle phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication in a professional and courteous manner.
Collaborate with other unit secretaries and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of care.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
Assist with patient transportation and escorting as needed.
Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare professionals to address any concerns or needs.
Participate in training and education programs to stay updated on hospital policies and procedures.
Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and patient care.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the unit and the hospital's overall operations.
