Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Bilingual Front Office Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves managing the front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting clinical staff with administrative functions.

Duties
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out processes using various EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, NextGen, eClinicalWorks.
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility verification to facilitate seamless billing processes.
- Schedule patient appointments accurately, coordinate follow-up visits, and manage appointment calendars.
- Collect payments through medical billing procedures, including copays and outstanding balances, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents, reviewing documentation for completeness, and updating patient information in electronic systems.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication and scheduling support.
- Assist with documentation review, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and ensure accurate medical coding for billing purposes.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies to ensure an organized front office environment.
- Facilitate communication between patients and clinical staff by providing clear instructions and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive health information.
Experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, preferably within a clinic or dental practice environment.
- Proven proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures including insurance verification, claims processing, and collections.
- Familiarity with medical coding standards (CPT codes, ICD-9/10) and documentation review processes.
- Experience working with insurance providers such as Medicare and understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bilingual abilities are considered an asset to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
