This opportunity is for a full-time Medical Receptionist to join the Stockton location. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $20.00 depending on the candidate's prior medical receptionist experience. The working schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to noon, providing a structured yet balanced workweek.
As a Medical Receptionist at Golden Bear Physical Therapy, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and visitors. Your primary responsibility will be to warmly greet patients and maintain friendly communication with patient care coordinators and external contacts.
Acting as the first point of contact, professionalism and care while answering phones and welcoming patients are essential. You will collaborate closely with the Billing Department, Physical Therapists, and the aide staff to coordinate patient flow efficiently and facilitate communication within the clinical and corporate teams.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA policies is a critical aspect of the role, reflecting the company's commitment to protecting patient information.
The receptionist will also participate in administrative tasks such as reviewing copay collection reports, identifying accounts for follow-up, auditing system dashboards to ensure timely actions, and monitoring payer portals for authorization management.
Attention to detail in chart management and communication with relevant departments to ensure all required documentation and authorizations are complete will be vital to supporting seamless clinic operations.
This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience using Raintree Practice Management System being a valuable asset. Strong customer service and organizational skills are necessary to handle multiple priorities and maintain a positive environment for patients. Effective communication, both verbal and written, will enable you to build rapport with patients and staff while managing complex information.
