Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Professionally handle incoming customer phone calls and emails.
- Process verbal, emailed, and EDI purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and update customer shipping and account information.
- Provide product support and troubleshooting assistance
- Identify opportunities to up-sell or cross-sell products, highlighting promotions and specials.
- Assist customers with order discrepancies, shipping errors, or product-related questions.
- Interface with internal departments (purchasing, production, engineering, shipping) to address customer needs.
- Collaborate with field sales personnel to support customer accounts.
- Enter and manage customer data in JDE, Salesforce, or other CRM platforms.
- Run and review backorder reports to ensure timely shipment or resolution.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of customer interactions, orders, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Provide training to co-workers on product knowledge and procedures.
- Adhere to ISO standards and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years in customer service or sales within a professional setting.
Education: AA degree preferred (equivalent experience accepted).
Skills
- Typing speed of 50 WPM with minimal errors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Experience with Salesforce and JDE preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
