Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage our company’s financial records and accounting functions. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of bookkeeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with various accounting software, a solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and a passion for maintaining precise financial data.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and record journal entries accurately, ensuring proper double entry bookkeeping practices.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet accounts regularly to ensure data integrity.
• Oversee payroll processing using systems such as ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Maintain compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit procedures.
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis to support management decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and governmental accounting standards in all financial activities.

Experience

• Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role within a corporate or non-profit setting.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation.
• Experience working with financial concepts related to governmental accounting or public accounting is a plus.
• Ability to handle data entry efficiently using 10 key typing skills and attention to detail in financial data management.
