Accounting Clerk – Accounts Receivable (A/R)

Location: Brownsville, TX

Position Summary

WE are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to support the Accounts Receivable department. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and post customer payments accurately and timely
• Prepare and send invoices and account statements
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
• Reconcile accounts receivable transactions
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Assist with month-end closing activities
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payments
• Generate reports and support accounting team projects as needed
• Perform data entry and filing of accounting documents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework preferred
• Previous accounting or accounts receivable experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
