What Were Looking For

• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher working with students in grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, Elementary (1st5th), Middle (6th8th), and High School (9th12th)
• Knowledge and application of IEPs and appropriate modifications/accommodations
• Ability to teach math and support students in both self-contained and resource settings
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and staff
• Flexibility and adaptability in a contract environment, quickly building rapport with new students and teams
• Credentials/certifications as required by state education authorities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs tailored to each students unique strengths and challenges
• Deliver engaging instruction in both small group and individual capacities
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Work with general education teachers and support staff to coordinate inclusive practices
• Engage parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal student support
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
