Sunbelt Staffing is partnering with schools in the Flint, Michigan area to fill multiple Paraprofessional openings for the upcoming 20262027 school year. We are seeking compassionate, reliable individuals who are committed to supporting students across diverse learning environments.

Assignment Details

Location: Flint, MI and surrounding communities (including the Grand Blanc area)

Dates: August 17, 2026 June 11, 2027

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week (full-time)

Daily schedules may vary by campus (typical shifts fall between early morning and mid-afternoon)

Setting: Onsite, school-based roles

Position Overview

In this role, you will provide essential academic and functional support to students across a range of grade levels and needs. Openings are available in both general education and specialized program settings.

Key responsibilities include

Delivering 1:1 student support in various learning environments

Assisting in general education, resource, and self-contained classrooms

Supporting students with cognitive and/or emotional needs

Providing personal care assistance, including toileting/diapering when required

Reinforcing lesson plans and helping maintain an organized classroom

Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff

Student Settings May Include

General education classrooms (mild to moderate needs) at elementary, middle, or high school levels

Specialized programs serving students with

Cognitive impairments

Emotional or behavioral needs

More intensive support requirements

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following

At least 60 semester hours of college coursework, or

An associate degree or higher, or

A passing score on the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment (460 or higher), or

Qualifying SAT scores (minimum 480 reading/writing and 530 math)

Additional qualifications

Official transcripts or qualifying test scores must be provided prior to submission

Prior experience working with children is strongly preferred

Willingness to assist with personal care tasks as needed

Strong communication, professionalism, and flexibility
