NYC Public Schools
The Office of Teacher Recruitment and Quality (TRQ) is responsible for the recruitment of diverse and talented teachers to meet the staffing needs of New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) and programs, as well as being responsible for initiatives to promote the equitable and quality distribution of teachers across all schools.
Research has repeatedly shown that teacher quality is the single most important variable in raising student learning. TRQ accomplishes its work through a strategic, data driven approach that focuses on the following efforts:

Additionally, the Program Coordinator will support the management of wrap around supports for our teacher pathway programs that support the retention of program participants, modeled after NYC Men Teach, which include mentorship, professional development, monthly engagements, and monthly meetings with institutions of higher education partners.
In addition, the program coordinator will support the communications strategies for both pathway programs and use data and insights to evaluate success. Performs related work.
