Sunrise of Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Site Director to lead one of our Out-of-School Time (OST) program sites serving children and teens across South, Southwest, and West Philadelphia.
This is more than a program management role. As the Site Director, you will be the leader of your site - responsible for program quality, staff performance, youth engagement, family partnerships, and operational excellence. What You'll Do
Program Leadership
- Lead the day-to-day operations of a Sunrise program site
- Recruit and retain youth participants to meet attendance goals
- Ensure engaging, high-quality programming that aligns with Sunrise standards and funder requirements
- Monitor program performance and implement improvement strategies using attendance and program data
- Collaborate with families, school personnel, and support staff to ensure youth success
Staff Supervision & Team Management
- Interview, train, coach, and supervise instructional staff
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations
- Hold team members accountable to expectations and performance standards
- Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Address staff performance concerns promptly and effectively
Administration & Compliance
- Ensure accurate attendance, enrollment, and program records
- Maintain compliance with licensing, grant, and organizational requirements
- Submit reports and documentation accurately and on time
- Manage site budgets, supplies, and inventory
- Ensure records remain audit-ready at all times
Family & Community Partnerships
- Serve as the primary liaison between Sunrise, families, and school-day staff
- Build strong relationships with principals, teachers, and community partners
- Represent Sunrise professionally in all school and community settings

Qualifications
Required
- Associate's degree or higher in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with youth
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage performance
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Meet, Classroom)
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and navigate stairs
Preferred
- Experience with grant-funded programs
- Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates encouraged to apply
