Responsibilities
- Receives all inbound products and identifies the appropriate pick-up spots for each.
- Rearranges the order picking and flow lines to facilitate the preparation of the warehouse for upcoming order selections.
- Guarantees that products are stocked in quantities that can satisfy routine or specialized needs.
- Demonstrates meticulousness by ensuring that proper focus and attention are given to all areas specified, which may include balers, aisles, racking, floors, door pits, and other designated areas.
- -Transports merchandise from the receiving location to their designated positions. Merges items into picking containers if necessary.
- Packs merchandise securely into cartons and totes while checking for shipping identification and labeling the containers with truck run and stop specifics.
- Promotes the safety and efficiency of the movement and monitoring of incoming, outgoing, and stored products in the warehouse.
- Keeps inventory integrity intact by following system processes consistently.
- Assembles items following the order in which they appear on the delivery route list.
- Documents and monitors the volumes of materials or items received or sent out.
- Carries out end-of-shift duties including recharging power tools and confirming completed work.
- Ensures a tidy workspace by returning supplies and merchandise to their assigned locations.
- Comply with the prescribed work methodologies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines as per company policies. Ensure the safety of the work area and report any unsafe conditions or incidents without delay.
- Handle additional responsibilities as given.
Required Qualifications
- The minimum educational requirement includes a high school diploma, GED, or its parallel
- The role requires availability during the scheduled times as well as for any supplementary overtime that may be required
- Necessary to possess the ability to stand, walk, stretch, and lift repeatedly while on duty
- Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in various temperature conditions, including cooler, freezer, and dry environments
- Complete post-offer drug test and criminal background verification
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to warehouse and distribution work lasting six months
- Past participation in the distribution of food products or relevant sector experience
