As a Warehouse Distribution Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, particularly by efficiently managing the unloading process.

Role and Responsibilities

The Warehouse Distribution Associate is responsible for managing the unloading of goods from incoming shipments. You will ensure that all products are safely and accurately processed, stored, and prepared for further handling, thereby supporting the smooth flow of operations within the warehouse.

• Unload incoming shipments carefully using manual or mechanical methods to prevent damage.
• Inspect products upon receipt for any damage or discrepancies to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Sort and store items in accordance with company procedures to maintain proper inventory organization.
• Label and tag products for easier tracking and sorting during further handling processes.
• Work closely with team members to verify inventory levels and report any discrepancies in stock.
• Maintain a clean and organized unloading area to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Assist with other warehouse duties, including loading and unloading products, when required.
• Follow all safety procedures to minimize risks of accidents and injuries within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with the team to meet daily goals for productivity and product quality.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least one year of experience in warehouse, shipping, or receiving roles.
• Basic understanding of warehouse functions and inventory management systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with colleagues.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or barcode scanning technology is beneficial.
• OSHA safety certification or relevant safety training is advantageous.
