Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant dining establishment. Duties
- Lead and motivate the restaurant team to deliver top-tier customer service, fostering a welcoming and energetic atmosphere.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining optimal stock levels to minimize waste and control costs.
- Supervise staff training and development, including interviewing potential team members, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing training programs.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation regulations, and health codes across all areas of the restaurant.
- Monitor financial performance by budgeting, analyzing sales data, and implementing strategies to maximize revenue while controlling expenses.
- Oversee shift management, scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours.
- Coordinate with kitchen management to maintain high standards in food production and culinary presentation.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment that aligns with hospitality industry best practices.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the food service industry, particularly in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety protocols.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling is essential.
- Strong supervisory skills with a track record of staff training & development; previous assistant manager or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures and budgeting processes within a restaurant setting.
- Excellent leadership abilities combined with exceptional customer service skills; ability to motivate teams effectively.
- Knowledge of health regulations related to food safety and sanitation standards in hospitality management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Culinary experience or fine dining background is a plus; banquet or catering experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated competence in managing kitchen operations, food production processes, and hospitality services such as bar or coffee experiences is desirable.
