The Operations Manager is responsible for the timely activities of the construction process. Included are the tasks of being involved, along with corporate Purchasing, in the bidding process, bid analysis, and Trade Partner selection as well as monitoring changes in contracts.
This individual is also responsible for the daily construction activities and on time deliveries per the business plan, and coordinates with Warranty Manager, Project (land) Manager, and Sales Manager to ensure the highest level of performance from the community teams. Position requires a Nevada B-2 residential construction license or the ability to obtain one shortly after hire.
Specific Position Responsibilities
Experience/Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred; more than 10 years related experience and/or training in the industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires a Nevada Class B Construction license

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
