Framework First ADUs
Framework First is a family-owned modular home builder in Salinas, CA. We build homes inside our own factory, then crane-deliver them onto our clients' properties, handling permits, foundation, finishes, and inspections along the way. Forty-plus years of building experience, a 5.0-star reputation, and more demand than ever.
We're hiring an Operations Project Manager to own the heartbeat of our production: every project's timeline, from the moment a build starts on the factory floor to the day it's craned onto a client's lot. You'll always know where every unit stands, who's working it, and whether it's on track, and you'll step in the moment it isn't.
This is a builder's role, not a binder role. Some weeks you're 60% on the factory floor asking hard questions and documenting the answers. Other weeks you're 60% in the field at inspections and coordinating with planning departments. You'll have a company vehicle for it.
The heart of the job is accountability. You'll track build times by role (craftsmen, finishing specialists, utility techs), and when a project slips, you document it, address it directly, and follow up. You're the kind of person who can tell a crew member "you're behind, here's what changes" fairly, clearly, and without drama.
You'll fit if you have managed projects in manufacturing, construction, or modular/prefab; are organized to a fault and at home in project-management software; are comfortable holding people accountable and driving urgency without burning anyone out; document everything by instinct; and have a clean driving record.
Compensation & growth: Base salary of $100,000-$110,000, plus a performance bonus of up to ~$50,000/year tied to clear, measurable targets, for a total potential of $150,000-$160,000. Plus 401(k), paid time off, and a company vehicle. As we scale to multiple shifts, this role has a direct line of sight to senior operations leadership.
If you've ever looked at an operation and thought "I could make this run twice as well," we'd like to meet you.
To apply, submit your resume. In a sentence or two, tell us about a project you personally kept on schedule when it was slipping.
