BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGER

Project Technologies & Services (PTS) – Valley View, Ohio

Project Technologies & Services is a growing engineering and project management firm serving industrial manufacturers across Northeast Ohio. We help clients execute capital projects, modernize facilities, and solve complex operational challenges through project and engineering teams that become true extensions of their organizations.

We’re looking for a full-time motivated, organized Business Operations Manager to learn about our internal business operations and grow into a leadership role over time. This person will report to the Director of Business Operations and help manage a wide range of functions which include but is not limited to: purchasing, HR, compliance, vendor management, and office administration.

This is a broad, hands-on role with real responsibility from day one and a clear path forward for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Vendor Relations — Obtain quotes and purchase materials and equipment for projects and internal needs, support our parts procurement and resale program, manage vendor relationships, coordinate shipments, and keep purchasing organized and efficient
HR & Benefits Administration — Support employees onboarding and offboarding, coordinate recruiting and interviewing and support employee benefits administration and enrollment activities. Help communicate company policies and procedures
Compliance & Insurance — Maintain third-party compliance platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta), coordinate liability insurance renewals, and manage Certificates of Insurance
Office Operations — Keep the office running: supplies, utilities, cleaning services, shipping, facilities coordination, and general administrative support
IT Coordination — Manage laptop purchasing and setup, software subscriptions, user access, and day-to-day employee system support. This is a coordination role, not a technical one.
Marketing Support — Maintain our LinkedIn presence, support proposal and marketing material preparation, and assist with occasional business development efforts

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
Strong organizational skills and follow-through; you don’t drop details or wait to be reminded
Trustworthy and discreet with sensitive business and personnel information
Must be able to cultivate and maintain long-term, strategic partnerships with key client stakeholders/vendors
Comfortable in a small company where the work is varied and no two days are identical
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Prior experience in business operations, purchasing, HR administration, compliance, or a small business environment is a plus. Drive and attitude matter more than a specific background.

Pay: $64,481.76 - $77,655.45 per year
