The Property Manager plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential housing properties. This Property Manager position is responsible for financial performance, tenant relations, staff supervision, and ensuring compliance with all housing regulations.
Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Pay: $20.00 – $27.00/hour (DOE)
- Location: Merced, CA
- Schedule: Full-time (schedule to be discussed during interview)

Responsibilities
- Manage property budgets, financial reports, and overall performance
- Supervise, train, and support on-site staff, including hiring and evaluations
- Oversee tenant eligibility, recertifications, and lease compliance
- Address tenant concerns and coordinate resolutions, including legal processes when needed
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and approve vendor services
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of college or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in property management, customer service, or a related field
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Requirements
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain Public Housing Manager and/or Asset Manager certification within 12 months
