Overview
This role is an outside sales position focused primarily on growing Mechanical Concepts’ service business with building owners, facility leaders, property managers, and other end-user customers. The primary responsibility will be selling HVAC service agreements, maintenance solutions, repairs, replacements, and service-related projects while building strong, long-term owner relationships.
The role will cover sales for Greater New Orleans (southeast Louisiana) and the Gulf Coast of MS.Mechanical Concepts is known for investing in its people. We provide structured training, strong internal technical and application support, and a clear long-term growth path for sales professionals who build trusted customer relationships and consistently create value for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, facility managers, property managers, contractors, and other end-user customers
- Sell HVAC service agreements, preventive maintenance programs, repair work, equipment replacements, and service-related projects
- Identify customer needs through regular owner calls, site visits, system reviews, and ongoing relationship management
- Pursue additional Mechanical Concepts offerings with owner customers, including equipment, controls, parts, turnkey solutions, and other company products and services
- Work closely with service operations to develop practical solutions, scopes of work, proposals, and customer recommendations
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure commitments are clear, proposals are accurate, and customer expectations are met
- Maintain an active pipeline of service sales opportunities and stay engaged with customers on current and future needs
- Present service solutions and value propositions clearly to customers and decision makers
- Sell value, reliability, responsiveness, and long-term partnership rather than competing only on lowest cost
Qualifications
- Sales experience in HVAC, mechanical services, facilities, construction, or a related business-to-business environment preferred
- Experience with heating and air conditioning systems, building operations, or owner-direct service sales strongly preferred
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to call on owners and develop repeat business
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand customer needs and clearly present service solutions
- Comfortable selling value, not just lowest cost
- Strong negotiation skills and follow-through
- Well organized with disciplined work habits and the ability to manage an active sales pipeline
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation structure consisting of base salary plus commission, with total target compensation based on experience
- Base pay paid bi-weekly; commissions paid according to the applicable commission plan
