TxDOT’s Laredo District is looking for a Project Manager to manage various types of transportation projects for the region. The District consists of eight counties including three bordering with Mexico.

Salary Range for each position level
Project Management Specialist II B22, $57,614 - $93,138
Project Management Specialist III B24, $65,104 - $106,634
Minimum Salary: 57,614.00 Maximum Salary: 106,634.00
Pay Basis: Yearly FLSA Status: Exempt

Travel: Yes, 25 % of the Time

Position Description
Performs project management specialist work for Department projects. Work includes coordinating the development, implementation, maintenance, and support of the Critical Path Method (CPM) for Department projects, and providing support for resource leveling, priority development, project analysis, reporting, and training. Works directly with the project manager to help define the project’s goals and objectives.
Work requires extensive contact with department staff, governmental agencies, and private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 2 years project management or development, construction/engineering support, or related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 4 years project management or development, construction/engineering support, or related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid US driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
