Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Project Manager (Hospitality & Gaming) to provide project leadership and team stewardship from design through implementation across hospitality and gaming environments.
The role focuses on delivering infrastructure and technology solutions in active, guest‑facing operations while partnering closely with property leadership, IT, facilities, security, and third‑party vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope.
Location: Hybrid, Travel to a Northern California property is expected up to 50%

Compensation
$50‑70/hr 1099, with eligibility for a discretionary incentive program
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for infrastructure and business initiatives supporting hotel, gaming, food & beverage, and shared services environments.
- Partner with property leadership and internal IT to define project objectives, scope, timelines, resource needs, and success criteria.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, risk registers, communication plans, and issue logs.
- Manage vendors, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of infrastructure, systems, and services.
- Oversee infrastructure‑related initiatives including network, Wi‑Fi, and structured cabling; data center, IDF/MDF buildouts and upgrades; server, storage, and virtualization platforms; end‑user devices and POS systems (hotel, gaming, F&B, retail); and systems integration across hospitality and gaming platforms.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment with Operations, Finance, Security/Surveillance, Marketing, and HR to ensure projects meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain consistent stakeholder communication, including status reporting, risk management, and decision tracking.
- Proactively manage change, dependencies, and risk, including formal change control for scope, budget, and schedule.
- Support go‑live activities, including cutover planning, validation, hyper‑care, and transition to operations and support teams.
- Provide financial oversight, including forecasting, tracking actuals, and explaining variances for assigned projects.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years in hospitality, resort, or gaming environments.
- Proven experience managing infrastructure‑focused projects in active, guest‑facing operations.
- Strong working knowledge of core IT infrastructure (networks, servers, storage, virtualization, endpoints) and hospitality/gaming operating environments (front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house systems).
- Experience in vendor and contractor management in multi‑stakeholder projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive‑level reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent work streams.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to a Northern California property.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience); PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Relevant infrastructure or vendor certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with gaming systems (e.g., slot systems, table games platforms, player tracking, surveillance integration, cage/cash systems).
- Experience with hotel systems (PMS, POS, guest Wi‑Fi, door lock systems, integrated guest services platforms).
- Familiarity with PMP, ITIL, or formal project and service management frameworks.
- Experience delivering infrastructure and systems deployments across large properties or multi‑site environments.
- Background working with a systems integrator, MSP, or consulting organization supporting hospitality or gaming clients.
