Role Context The Product Design Manager will shape end-to-end fintech and payments experiences across mobile and web channels, from early discovery and user research through prototyping, validation, delivery, and iteration.
This role requires close collaboration with product, engineering, business, data, and design teams to define customer outcomes, raise design quality, mentor designers, and ensure solutions are consistent with design systems, brand standards, usability expectations, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities * Lead the design direction for fintech, payments, transaction, and financial service experiences across mobile and web platforms.* Own end-to-end product design activities from discovery, research, ideation, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, validation, delivery, and post-launch iteration.* Simplify complex financial journeys into intuitive, secure, accessible, and user-friendly digital experiences.* Design transaction flows, payment journeys, account interactions, checkout experiences, confirmation screens, error states, and support journeys with strong attention to trust and usability.* Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, data teams, and design leaders to define outcomes and align priorities.* Drive high standards in UX design, UI design, interaction design, information architecture, visual quality, and design execution.* Mentor and guide designers through structured feedback, design critiques, reviews, coaching, and practical design direction.* Ensure scalable and consistent design solutions aligned with design systems, UI guidelines, brand principles, and platform requirements.* Facilitate workshops, design sprints, discovery sessions, journey reviews, and decision-making discussions with clear stakeholder alignment.* Communicate design rationale, trade-offs, user insights, and product decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.* Partner with engineering teams to support design handover, implementation quality, usability review, and iteration during Agile delivery.* Use customer insights, product analytics, usability testing, and business feedback to improve digital experiences and design decisions.* Support a culture of design excellence, customer empathy, experimentation, and continuous improvement across digital product teams.
Ideal Profile * Emirati talent profile with strong interest in digital product design, fintech, payments, and customer experience innovation.* 8+ years of experience in product design, UX design, UI design, interaction design, or digital experience design.* Proven experience designing fintech, payments, banking, financial services, transaction, or payment journey experiences.* Strong end-to-end product design capability, from discovery and ideation to delivery, validation, and iteration.* Solid UX and UI fundamentals with a portfolio showing mobile and web platform design across complex customer journeys.* Expertise in prototyping, interaction design, user-centered design, information architecture, visual design, and usability principles.* Experience working with design systems, reusable components, platform guidelines, and scalable digital design standards.* Ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, business, data, and senior stakeholder teams.* Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments with cross-functional product teams.* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions, rationale, constraints, and trade-offs clearly.* Ability to mentor designers, provide constructive feedback, and raise the overall quality of design output.* Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to balance customer needs, business goals, technical feasibility, and regulatory or security considerations.
