Senior Accountant

What the Role IsThis is a senior individual-contributor position with a clear path to a supervisory and client-facing role. You will handle an assigned portfolio of clients independently -- from data collection to filing to client coordination -- while working closely with the partner and the senior team on more complex matters.

This is not a data-entry role. You will be expected to think, flag problems, and communicate with clients directly.

What You Will Do

• Independently manage GST compliance for an assigned client portfolio: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, annual returns (GSTR-9/9C)
• Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals, firms, and companies
• Handle TDS return filing (24Q, 26Q) and TDS reconciliation
• Finalise books of accounts in Tally Prime for ITR and audit purposes
• Assist in statutory and tax audit fieldwork: vouching, schedule preparation, working papers
• Coordinate directly with clients on data requirements, discrepancies, and pending items
• Review output of junior staff and guide them on routine compliance tasks
• Flag ITC mismatches, reconciliation gaps, and compliance issues proactively -- not after the partner asks

What We Are Looking For

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a CA firm handling GST, ITR, and TDS end-to-end
• Proficiency in Tally Prime is non-negotiable
• Solid working knowledge of GST law: not just filing mechanics, but understanding why numbers move and what triggers a mismatch
• Comfortable communicating with clients in English, Konkani, or Hindi -- politely, clearly, and without needing the partner to repeat the message
• CA Inter (either group) preferred;
• B.Com graduates with strong CA firm experience will be considered
• Must currently reside in Goa -- applications from outside Goa will not be processed
• What Is Not Required (but will help you grow faster here)
• Experience with GST notices or departmental correspondence -- we will train you on this
• Experience with SPEQTA GST or similar compliance software -- adaptable candidates pick this up quickly.

Location and TimingsBehind Victor Hospital, Malbhat, Margao -- Goa 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday
