Working HoursTuesday to Friday: 9:00am - 6:30pm (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)Saturday: 9:00am - 5:30pm (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)Total contracted hours: 40 hours per weekAs a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the pharmacy team and ensuring patients receive a professional, efficient and friendly service.
Key responsibilities include
- Serving patients and customers at the pharmacy counter
- Assisting with the dispensing process
- Handling prescription collections and patient queries
- Answering telephone enquiries professionally
- Supporting NHS and private pharmacy services
- Managing stock, ordering and deliveries
- Using pharmacy computer systems and NHS platforms
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment
- Ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained at all times
- Working closely with pharmacists and colleagues to provide excellent patient care

- Essential
- Previous customer service experience
- Good IT and keyboard skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Desirable
- Previous pharmacy experience
- Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) qualification
- Experience using pharmacy systems such as Pro
- Script, Titan, RxWeb or Pharmacy Manager
- Knowledge of NHS services such as Pharmacy First, NMS and Blood Pressure Checks
- Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
