Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting System Implementation Specialist to lead the implementation and optimization of an accounting system for a property management and real estate development operation.
The successful candidate will have strong accounting expertise, hands-on system implementation experience, and a solid understanding of property management processes, including lease management, tenant billing, service charges, owner reporting, and property-related financial controls.
This is a short-term project-based role requiring the specialist to assess current processes, configure the system, migrate data, train users, and ensure a smooth transition to the new accounting platform.
Key Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
Intermediate between company and software provides to be able to launch and use the software.
- Analyze current accounting and property management workflows and identify system requirements.
- Configure the accounting system to support property management operations.
- Set up chart of accounts, property portfolios, units, tenants, landlords, cost centers, and reporting structures.
- Implement workflows for tenant invoicing, rent collection, security deposits, service charges, maintenance expenses, and owner distributions.
- Coordinate and execute financial data migration and validation.
- Develop property-specific financial reports and management dashboards.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Train finance, property management, and administrative staff on system usage.
- Prepare user manuals, process documentation, and implementation guides.
- Provide post-implementation support and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and real estate industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience implementing accounting or ERP systems.
- Experience working with property management, real estate, or facility management companies.
- Strong understanding of:
- Property accounting
- Lease management
- Tenant billing and collections
- Security deposit accounting
- Service charge accounting
- Owner and landlord reporting
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, or property management software.
- Strong data migration and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication and training abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
- Experience integrating accounting systems with property management platforms.
- Knowledge of UAE real estate and property management operations.
- Experience with automation and workflow optimization.
