The Assistant Manager Sales is responsible for supporting Milk Makeup’s retail growth across our key accounts in North America: Sephora US, Sephora Canada, Kohls & Ulta. This role will support both traditional brick-and-mortar and e-commerce channels.
Working closely with the Account Management Team (Sr Director & Sr Manager) and internal cross-functional teams, this person will ensure retailer alignment with Milk Makeup's overall business objectives.
The Assistant Manager will support in driving sales administration, retailer follow up & follow through, sample/product shipments, business analytics and building strong relationships with retail partners that in turn develop strategies to accelerate growth in their key accounts.
This role reports directly to the Senior Manager of Sales, North America with both roles laddering up to the Senior Director of Sales, North America.
What You’ll Do:
Account Management Sku Creation & Maintenance: Responsible for end-to-end sku creation and maintenance for core and NPD for each North America sales account. Manage timelines for NPF across all North America accounts, scrubbing for accuracy prior to purchase order placement. Includes ensuring all launch dates, store distribution, season codes, collections, retails and purchase prices are accurate.
Product Sends to Merchants: Responsible for product shipments for all North America retail accounts. Will manage the timeline for and submit all product comp requests related to retailer pitches, activations, market meetings & merchant gratis.
Ratings + Reviews: Manage and execute ratings & reviews across Sephora & Ulta. Partner with each sales lead on product strategy, timing and budget allocation needs.
Brand Asset Delivery: Deliver and upload all final brand assets to all North America accounts. Will include assets for dotcom, retailer activations and/or trade marketing exposures. Ensure all assets are labeled correctly and submitted on-time.
Retailer Relationships: Nurture and build strong, long-term relationships with retail partners. Serve as a point of contact for retail partners, acting as an advocate for Milk and ensuring the brand’s goals are effectively communicated and supported within each retailer account.
Retailer Meeting Preparation: Own set up & tear down for any retailer meetings, including Annual Market, In The Kitchen & Go-To-Market.
Retailer Performance Analysis & ReportingTrack KPIs:
Trend: Monthly, Quarterly & AnnualProductivity: Monthly & AnnualRank: Monthly & AnnualManage and maintain North America Competitive Analysis overview. Update monthly with new launches.
Scrub and analyze dotcom ratings + reviews across all North America accounts. Share out monthly learnings with account leads and partner with them on opportunities for p-page optimization and/or seeding strategies.
Cross Functional ExcellenceCollaborate with product development, planning & operations teams on any product needs for all North America sales accounts. Create + manage a comp timeline, have an organized product request log and maintain consistent + clear communication on all product needs. Ensure any risk in deadlines for any sales account needs are being elevated to leadership.
Support in ensuring accuracy in all internal + external marketing calendars & side by side for each retail account.
We’d Like YOU to Have:
Education: College degree required1+ years of experience in retail sales, account administration, and/or retail marketing, or a related field, ideally within the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries.
Understanding of Sephora North America and/or Ulta Beauty ways of working, administrative systems, and account management expertise a plus.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights from sales data, retailer portal, and market trends to inform decision-making.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, DAASH, Power Point, and Sales Administration.
Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to manage complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders. Proficiency in Asana is a plus!
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building effective partnerships and collaborating on tasks.
