ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and commercially minded Business Operations Executive to support the day-to-day operations of our peptide manufacturing and distribution business.
Reporting directly to the Director, this role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring the seamless execution of customer contracts, and acting as a key liaison between clients, scientific experts, and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related Life Sciences discipline, possess excellent business acumen, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where scientific knowledge and operational efficiency are equally important.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and coordinate the operational activities of the peptide manufacturing and distribution business.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Oversee the execution of customer contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Coordinate with manufacturing partners, suppliers, logistics providers, and clients to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing professional and confident communication throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with scientists, researchers, laboratories, and industry experts, demonstrating a strong understanding of biochemistry and microbiology terminology.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, operational reports, and business documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels, production schedules, and supply chain activities to ensure continuity of operations.
- Analyse operational data and business metrics to identify trends, resolve issues, and support strategic decision-making.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and proactively implement practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with company quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support the Director with strategic initiatives, business development opportunities, and special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.3-5 years of experience in business operations, project coordination, life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of peptide manufacturing, laboratory environments, or scientific products is highly advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience working with ERP or CRM systems is an advantage.
